Baby Levi // Ottawa Newborn Photographer

Boys boys boys! It must be a year of boys, I haven’t had a girl in the studio in months! But I have to say I have worked with so many amazing families and the boys have been so good for me! Especially Mr. Levi!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with this family, capturing some wonderful memories for them. We had lots of laughs and as you can see, Levi has the best older siblings that loved to hold and snuggle him.

I have been doing newborn photography now for a few years and have really come to see that boys tend to be a bit more chilled out then girls! Funny right? Levi was just that, he was so easy to work with and had such a very sweet personality to go along with that sweet little face.

Enjoy these great favs of mine from baby Levis session a few weeks back, hope to see this sweet family again soon!

Fall “Red Couch” family sessions | Ottawa Family Photographer

If your like me – you dread to hear summer is almost over, well thankfully I am not here to say that BUT am to remind you that the Fall family sessions will be happening again this year! My red couch will be included, which photographs wonderfully – it really adds a nice touch to your photos making this session marathon one of my most popular. Photos also include “non” couch photos, so don’t worry – you won’t only have the couch as an option. If you have worked with me before, you would know I LOVE to only deliver variety to my clients, so we do a bit of everything in this session.

Regular sessions vs. Half (mini) sessions.

I have also decided to STOP calling these “mini sessions”. I have been doing mini sessions now for a few years and have noticed that almost every single family I have shot, 20 mins is a lot of time to get a lot of great photos! Ive learnt how to get a lot of poses, candids and different ideas in a 20 min session just from doing these for so long now. So mini is not quite fitting to these anymore, I would say they are HALF of what you get from a regular family session with me. While I don’t want to turn anyone away from booking a regular one on one family session, they are more of an investment, yes – but they are great to get lots of variety, more time, less structured and a bit more laid back with more time allowing us to walk around to different spots at the location. I guess you can look at it as regular sessions are more custom to you 100% while half sessions are set up by me and I have a bit of structured way of shooting (posing ideas, using the few spots around one area, sometimes a themed set up). So at the end of the day, it’s about what YOU want from the session experience.

Info for these sessions will be posted on my Facebook page in the next coming weeks – so be sure to catch it when it’s released because they do go fast.

Here is 1/2 of the great photos Dalia and her sweet family got from her session – check it out!

Baby Aiden // Ottawa Newborn Photographer

Baby Aiden was such a sweet, calm little guy. And such a darn cute baby! Just adore that soft strawberry blond hair. He made the session easy by letting me pose him naturally in the poses that babies really love. Curly, comfortable womb poses! Sarah and Al are past clients of mine, I have spent a lot of time capturing their amazing life moments from their engagement session, wedding down south in beautiful Jamaica and now newborn photos for their first born. I really love love love so much how I get to document their great moments, a return client means so much – honest.

Hope to see you all again very soon! xx

Baby Mason // Ottawa Newborn Photographer

Brittany and her momma came to see me with baby Mason a few weeks back. Mason being the great baby he was, gave me a great bunch of photos, set ups and poses.  His session was easy breezy! I just love the warm neutral feeling to this session – I am a sucker for simple too, simple and natural is what I love in a newborn session. Was great to meet you all, Mason was a rock star! It was wonderful to work with this family, hope to photograph Mason again one day soon.

Baby Mason was a dream to photograph

Kelsey and Chad // Ottawa Engagement Photographer

I met up with Kelsey and Chad in May at the Experimental farm just in time to capture photos with the beautiful magnolia trees and flowers that bloom this time every year. The farm smelt beautifully of flower fragrance! It was  a perfect evening session with great light at a great location. Kelsey and Chad were a breeze to photograph, they were so sweet and linked so well together, I could truly feel the love between them. With their wedding coming up soon, we got to capture some great engagement photos – fun, sweet and full of love. I always tell  my clients engagement sessions are always great to do before the wedding, it gives me a great feel for how you photograph – and gives you a chance to get to know me so come wedding day, your fully comfortable with me shooting one of the most important days of your lives. And honestly, I love engagement sessions for the fact – they are so much fun and innocent, it really brings the best out of couples.

A beautiful bride and groom to be
